[PlayStation®Network] Updated 01/06/2015

The following article contains information about updating your Sony Entertainment Network account information:

Please note:

  • Once a Sony Entertainment Network account has been modified, the changes will affect the account no matter how it is accessed (i.e., from a PS3, PSP system, etc).
  • Sign-In ID can be up to 30 digits long when creating or updating Sony Entertainment Network accounts.

Please choose a method below for step-by-step instructions:



From the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system:

  1. Sign into your Sony Entertainment Network account, under PlayStation Network icon (PlayStation®Network) on the XMBTM home menu.

  2. Under PlayStation Network icon (PlayStation®Network), highlight Account Management icon (Account Management) and press the X button icon button.

  3. Select "Account Information" if you wish to modify the account settings for the account that is currently logged in.

    Select "Sub Account Management" if you wish to modify the account settings for any associated Sub Account tied to the Master Account.

    This option will not be available if there is no Sub Account tied to this account or the current logged in account is a Sub Account.

  4. Highlight the option you wish to update and press the X button icon button. Then follow the on screen instructions.

On the PSP system

  1. On the XMBTM, go to PlayStation Network icon (PlayStation®Network), highlight Account Management icon (Account Management) and press the X button icon button.

  2. Sign into your Sony Entertainment Network account.

  3. Select "Account Information" to modify the account settings for the account that is currently logged in.

    Select "Sub Account Management" if you wish to modify the account settings for any associated Sub Account tied to the Master Account.

    This option will not be available if there is no Sub Account tied to this account or if you are currently logged into a Sub Account.

  4. Highlight the option you wish to update and press the X button icon button. Then follow the on screen instructions.
