Memory Card Adaptor for the PS3

The Memory Card Adaptor for PlayStation®3 (sold separately) is used to copy the contents of a Memory Card (8MB) (for PlayStation 2) or a Memory Card (for PlayStation game console) onto a PS3 system hard disk drive (HDD).

Copying Existing Game Saves

The Memory Card Adaptor can be used to transfer game saves to the Memory Card from an Internal Memory Card. Game save data must first be copied to an Internal Memory Card to be used with a PlayStation or PlayStation 2 title. You can copy existing game saves from a Memory Card game console) to an Internal Memory Card. Game save data can be copied both to and from a Memory Card (both PlayStation and PlayStation 2 format) using the adaptor.

As noted on the Memory Card Adaptor packaging, the Memory Card Adaptor CANNOT be used to load or save games directly. You can ONLY load or save game progress for PlayStation® and PlayStation®2 format titles on an Internal Memory Card (on the HDD).

USB Cable

The Memory Card Adaptor requires a USB cable (mini-B on one end) to connect to the PS3 system. The cable is NOT included with the adaptor. However, the cable that comes with the PS3 will work.
