Frequently Asked Questions

Question: On what devices is the Live Events Viewer available?
Answer: The Live Event Viewer is exclusively available on the PlayStation 3.

Q: What do I need to use the Live Events Viewer?
A: To use the Live Events Viewer you need three things:

  • An active Sony Entertainment Network (SEN) account
  • A PlayStation 3 Console with the Live Events Viewer application installed. Download it for free from the PlayStation Store (PS Store >Apps > TV/Video )
  • An Internet connection with a recommended speed of >8Mbps (minimum speed of 4Mbps)

Q: What does it cost to use the Live Events Viewer?
A: The Live Events Viewer app is available for free on the PlayStation Store. You may however be required to pay to view individual live events within the app. Some of live events will be offered on Pay-Per-View (PPV) basis and some may be offered for free. You can see the price for each event within its Event Details Page.

Q: How can I see what events are available?
A: The Live Events Viewer app has three main screens; the Main Page, the Calendar Page and the My Events Page.
When you start the Live Events Viewer, you will be taken to the Main Page where you can see a selection of the best upcoming events.
Above the Main Page is the Calendar Page where you will find a complete list of all available events.
Below the Main Page is the My Events Page, where you will find the events that you have already purchased.
When you select an event you will see an Event Details Page with more details including the event pricing, schedule, and age restrictions.

Q: How do age restrictions work?
A: Events that have age restricted content are only viewable and accessible by Sony Entertainment Network account holders of the appropriate age designated for that event

Q: How long can I replay the content?
A: Each Event Details Page will notify you of the availability of that event for replay and catch-up viewing.
This information is located in the “Available Until” date and time on the Event Details page. Please review this information prior to purchase, since some events may have no replay available. Once that “Available Until” date and time have passed, content will no longer be available for re-play.

Q: What happens if I pre-order a one-off event and miss its only showing?
A: An event is only available to view during its availability period listed on the Event Details Page. Please review this information prior to purchase, since this period may vary from event to event and some events may have no replay available. Once the “Available Until” date and time have passed, content will no longer be available for re-play.
