PlayStation Vue: Supported Set-top Box Devices

PlayStation™Vue Service Streaming Optimization

Number of Devices Streaming Concurrently

PlayStationVue supports up to five devices streaming simultaneously. 
The five can be made up of:

Only one PS4™ system
Only two PS3™ systems
iOS devices
Android devices
Web browsing

If you reach a streaming limit (5 total devices, more than 3 smart phones or tablets) and get an error, you can sign out of PlayStation Vue on one of your devices. Wait about 2 to 3 hours, and sign back in with the new device

Viewing Download Optimization

One User / Device

PlayStation™Vue provides the best viewing with a download speed of 10 mbps or more for the first user/devices. 


Multiple Users / Devices

Add an additional 5 mbps for each additional streaming user or devices. For example, if you have two people watching at the same time, you should have a download speed of 15 mbps, or more. For three people, you should have speeds of 20 mbps, or more. And so on.
 

Apple TV

How to Add PS Vue to Your Apple TV®

PlayStation™Vue is supported on 4th generation or higher Apple TV® devices.

Step 1: Download PlayStation® Vue from the App Store on your supported Apple TV® device.
Step 2: Open PlayStation® Vue on your Apple TV®. When using the first time, a code will appear on your Apple TV®.
Step 3: Activate.  Go to Activate your Apple TV and
 log in with your PSN account.
Step 4: Enter the code from your Apple TV®​.

How to Watch PS Vue on Your Apple TV®

With PlayStation™Vue on Apple TV®, you’ll be able to use the great features like Live TV, Recently Watched, My DVR (My Shows renamed to My DVR as of April 2018), Favorite Channels, Search, Guide, and Featured. You can also stream Live, On Demand, or play DVR content (cloud DVR).


Amazon Fire TV

How to Add PS Vue to Your Amazon Fire

Getting PlayStation™Vue on Amazon Fire TV devices is easy.  

Step 1: Download PlayStation®Vue from the Amazonapp store on your Fire TV device.
Step 2:  Sign in using your PlayStation® Network account.

How to Watch PS Vue on Your Amazon Fire

With PlayStation™Vue on Amazon Fire TV, you’ll be able to use features like Multiple Profiles, Timeline, Explore, My DVR, Favorite Channels, and Recommendations. You can also stream Live, On Demand, or play DVR content (cloud DVR).


Roku® Streaming Device

How to Add PS Vue to Your Roku® 

Step 1: Download PlayStationVue from the Channel Store on your Roku® .
Step 2: Open PlayStationVue on your Roku®. When using the first time, a code will appear on your Apple TV®.
Step 3: Activate. Go to Activate your Roku  and log in with your PSN account.
Step 4: Enter the code from your Roku®​.

How to Watch PS Vue on Your Roku®

With PlayStation™Vue on Roku®, you’ll be able to use the great features like My DVR, Favorite Channels, Featured and Recommended content, and Search. Guide and Explore are available on Roku clients 2.0 and above only and not on 1.6 and below.


Android TV

How to Add PS Vue to Your Android TV

Step 1: Download PlayStationVue from Google Play on your Android TV.
Step 2: Open PlayStationVue on your Android TV.
Step 3: Sign In using your PlayStation® Network account.

How to Watch PS Vue on Your Android TV

With PlayStation™Vue on Android TV, you’ll be able to use features like Multiple Profiles, GuideExplore, My DVR, Favorite Channels, and Recommendations. You can also stream Live, On Demand, or play DVR content (cloud DVR).


Chromecast

How to Connect to PS Vue with Chromecast

Step 1: Download PlayStationVue from Google Play.
Step 2: Open PlayStationVue while connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Google Chromecast.
Step 3: Sign In with your PSN account.
Step 4: Tap the Casting Icon to connect. 

The PlayStation™Vue apps for iOS and Android automatically supports casting. However, casting PlayStation™Vue is not currently supported outside of your home location.
