PlayStation Vita systems have a PS button that lights up different colors. Read on to learn the meaning of the different lights that appear on the PS button.
The PS button on a PlayStation Vita system will remain unlit when the system is powered OFF.
Flashing Orange Light
You'll see a blinking orange light on the PS button when the battery is charging but the system power is too low to allow the system to power ON. Note that the orange light flashes infrequently, so you may not see it until you have watched for a second or two.
Solid Orange Light
You'll see a steady orange light on the PS button when:
- the system power is OFF and the battery is charging.
- the system is in standby mode and the battery is charging.
Solid Blue Light
You'll see a steady blue light on the PS button when the PS Vita system power is ON. This is true whether or not the system battery is charging.
Flashing Blue Light
You'll see a blinking blue light on the PS button when a new notification is available on your PS Vita system. Tap the icon in the upper, right corner of the PlayStation Vita screen to see the latest notifcation messages.
