[PS3™ system] Updated 05/06/2013

Only PlayStation®3 model# CECHA01, CECHB01, and CECHE01 can play PlayStation and PlayStation 2 games. If you wish to save game progress when playing PlayStation®2 or PlayStation® format software on the PS3 system, you must first create an Internal Memory Card on the PS3 hard disk drive. An Internal Memory Card must be created for each type of software (i.e., a PlayStation 2 memory card for PlayStation 2 software, a PlayStation memory card for PlayStation software).

Click hereto find out more about backward compatibility on the PS3.

Internal Memory Cards have the same size limitations as their physical counterparts (1 MB for PlayStation and 8 MB for PlayStation 2).
